The Location

The Portsonachan Hotel is set in over 100 acres of beautiful Scottish woodland and countryside and of course benefits from its position on the banks of spectacular Loch Awe, the longest freshwater loch in Scotland. Guests can fish Loch Awe free of charge, anywhere from the shoreline or all over the loch from a boat. The hotel has boats and fishing tackle available during your stay.

The historic fishing town of Inveraray with several tourist attractions including Inverary Castle and the Georgian Inverary Jail (now a museum) is a short drive from Portsonachan, as is the Glenorchy Parish Church, standing on an island site between the rivers of Orchy and Orchy Bheag.

Your Stay

Our exclusive 2 night Getaway for 2 includes bed and continental breakfast each morning and a welcome bottle of prosecco.

Dinner each evening from the Table D’Hote menu in our stylish a la carte restaurant, The Cruachan, offering spectacular views over the banks of Loch Awe. The talented chefs work closely with local suppliers to ensure they use fresh local and seasonal produce on the menus.

Nights must be taken consecutively. The voucher must be used within 18 months of the purchase date. Accommodation is in a standard double room. Check in time is 4pm and check out is at 10am. Dinner is for 2 nights which is not transferrable/cannot be credited and has no cash value. Choose from a selection of our favourite dishes on our 3-course set menu. Upgrades to specials available upon payment of applicable supplements.   Vouchers are non-refundable but can be transferred/gifted.   All dates are subject to availability and the hotel has the right to offer alternative accommodation of a similar or superior standard should your booked accommodation be unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.  Pet friendly accommodation available on request.  Discounted prices for voucher holders for extra nights/upgrades to self-catering accommodation.
